GOSI appointed “ARE” COWI to carry out detailed investigation, condition assessment and recommendations for their first commercial building in Dammam.
The structure is a twelve storey building with basement, ground, mezzanine, service, restaurant floor and typical eight floors. It comprised typical columns, solid slabs at ground, mezzanine, service and restaurant floor, and waffle slabs at the others. The foundation structure comprised mat foundation.
The work involved detailed visual inspection, sampling and testing to determine the cause and extent of deterioration and also the site supervision of the remedial works carried out to the structures.
