The Scope of Works involved to receive all existing information pertaining to the following:
- Cartographic base of the area of influence of the project
- Design documents and specifications of the project to being evaluated
- Alternatives considered for the project, if any.
- Former EIAs in the area of study, if any.
- Climatological baseline, surveyor studies, hydro-geologic data, thematic maps and any other information considered relevant to the success of the project.
- Local relevant legislation.
Based on information received and that raised in the field, the Consultant will describe all aspects of the environmental that may be affected by development: topographic map, Meteorological setting (Precipitation, temperatures, winds), Site settings, Tectonic setting and seismicity, geological and hydro-geological settings, landscape and biological environment (fauna and flora).
Additionally, the Consultant will describe current socio-economic conditions: Demographics, main population centers within the sector and its functionality, economic activities, employment, description of the network of basic services, description of the infrastructure, current use of land, legislation, management plans and socio-cultural aspects. Maps will be developed for each of the environmental variables characterized.
