The Military Industries Corporation – MoDA appointed “ARE” to provide site supervision services for the supervision of the removal of asbestos related materials from the military facilities in Kharj. The works mainly involved supervising whether the execution on site is undertaken as per the project contract documents, and following all safety norms regarding the HSE affects of Asbestos fibres, etc.. The activities include preparation of monthly reports, conduct regular meetings, inspection of all activities on site, approval of materials, etc.
The works also involved establishment of onsite laboratory to check the atmospheric levels of asbestos fibres and perform all related tests pertaining to asbestos related materials. Asbestos specialists ACE Consultants from UK (“ARE”’s associated firm) were also involved in undertaking specialized works in this project.
